Reviews and Ratings
I had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were nice and spacious with two queen beds, but lacked some kitchen essentials. The service was absolutely wonderful, especially over the Christmas holiday season. The location was really nice, right across from the marina and close to restaurants. The dining experience was superb, offering a variety of delicious options. Overall, a lovely place to stay with some minor drawbacks.
Staying in the auxiliary wing across the street, I found the hotel to be a cozy spot during my 12-day Ring Road trip. The pub offered a nice selection of steaks and seafood, but the room location was in an old Soviet-like building on the other side, away from the main building featured on the website.
I was initially surprised to find myself staying in an old Soviet-like building across the road instead of the main hotel building shown on the website, but the room was indeed spacious as promised. The hotel is conveniently located with cool shops and restaurants nearby, but the noise from passing cars could be bothersome at times. The service was a bit hit-and-miss, with a staff member entering my room without knocking, but there were pleasant moments like having my hot water flask filled for the day. The dining options were on the simpler side, although there's a bakery just across the street for more variety. Despite these quirks, the value for money was reasonable, and the experience was overall decent.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants and a municipal pool. The rooms, although undergoing renovations, were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with essential amenities. The service was a mix of nice gestures but unhelpful encounters. The dining experience was decent, with a simple offering that was acceptable. Overall, the hotel offers value for money, especially considering the great location.
